Del Valle Regional Park 2008 Trip

Day 3 of 3

Sunday, May 4th
East Shore Trail

Our neighbors woke up around 6am. I was still too tired from the antihistamine to get up, though. At 7am, someone decided to make a Tarzan imitation and let out a yell. Quiet hours are supposed to be 10pm to 7am (although people are always bending the rules).

Tent at the campground

After breakfast we packed up (check out time is noon). Then we made the short drive to the east shore of the lake again and hiked the East Shore Trail.

After the hike, we stopped by the snack shop for some ice cream. On the drive back, we had to make a detour. Downtown Livermore was blocked off because of the 17th annual Livermore Wine Country Festival. It had also been blocked off the day before. If you are planning to visit the park for any reason, make sure to look up the festival and see if it's that day. If it is, you can get around it by taking Concannon Road to Highway 84.
