We thought the boys were ready to hike up to the top of Mt. Tallac, one of our favorite hikes.
We decided Labor Day weekend would be a good time to do it - good weather and a long weekend, although we'd have to contend with the crowds.
We decided we'd leave after dinner on Friday. I was hoping to get started by 7pm, but we didn't leave until 8:30pm. Even so, we made it up to our South Lake Tahoe rental house around 12:20am, even with a stop for gas and about a 15-20 minute traffic delay near Davis.
