Plaikni Falls |
Crater Lake National Park Directions:
From Crater Lake Lodge, take the park road and turn left toward
East Rim Drive. Near park headquarters, turn left onto East Rim Drive.
After about 8 miles, turn right onto the road toward Pinnacles Overlook.
After about a mile, turn left into the parking area for Plaikni Falls.

Even though it was overcast earlier in the morning, it pretty much cleared
up by the time we started this easy hike. It's almost completely flat for the
first 0.8 miles, through open forest without much in the way of views.

The trail then starts to climb at about a 10% grade, about
200 feet in total to the falls. As you approach the falls you can see the creek
on the right, and then turning the corner, the falls to the left.

After taking some pictures, we turned around and returned the way we came.
