Help downloading and installing the Mac OS X version of Unite:

  • The Mac OS X version of Unite is downloaded as the file Unite30X.bin
  • Your browser will probably automatically convert the file to Unite30X.dmg. If not, double-click the Unite30X.bin file to convert it. You may need to download Stuffit Expander (available from Aladdin Systems) if you don't already have it.
  • The Unite30X.dmg file will probably automatically be converted, resulting in a disk image named Unite 3.0. If the conversion does not happen automatically, double-click the Unite30X.dmg file to run Disk Copy to convert it.
  • Open the Unite 3.0 volume; inside you'll find a folder named Unite.
  • Drag the Unite folder to wherever on your hard drive you want it to reside.
  • If you still have problems installing, contact me.

Help downloading and installing the Mac OS Classic version of Unite:

  • The Mac OS Classic version of Unite is downloaded as a BinHex file named, for example, Unite30Classic.hqx (the exact name depends on what version you download)
  • The Unite30Classic.hqx file should be automatically de-binhexed by your web browser. If not, run StuffIt Expander to de-binhex it. The resulting de-binhexed file is a StuffIt archive named UniteClassic30.sit
  • The UniteClassic30.sit file should be automatically un-stuffed by your web browser. If not, run StuffIt Expander to un-stuff it. The resulting un-stuffed file is the folder Unite.
  • Move the folder to wherever on your hard drive you want it to reside.
  • If you still have problems installing, contact me.
